Since it's Easter weekend, E's t-ball class was cancelled. Thing is, no one told us unto we arrived five minutes late.
Luckily, there's a playground at the field. Neither child wanted me to push them because I don't push them high enough. Which means I was able to sit and enjoy my coffee.

Deliciousness
One of my absolute, most favorite things to eat are my Mother's chiles rellenos. I could eat four in one sitting. Seriously. I'm not exaggerating.
What will I do if they ever move?

Easter at School
E came home yesterday and was so eager to tell me about his Easter egg hunt at school. He loves talking with his hands so it was fun to watch him explain everything - "I found eggs and I CRACKED them open. Some were filled with eggs, some had candy!"

18 + 1 months old
Sweet, silly G is now 18...er, 19 months old.
I know exactly how it passed me by. I just kept telling myself, "I'll take his picture tomorrow. I'll write a post about it tomorrow."
Over a month later, I'm finally doing it. Better late than never, right?
At his 18th month well, visit he was actually sick. Really sick. 104 degree fever sick. They looked at him anyway and said he was growing well. He weighed in at 23 lbs. and 33.5 inches. I must say that taking these measurements was quite a battle.
Little guy is really talking a lot now. He can say agua, milk (meh), juice, apple, watermelon (meye), berry, cheese, chicken, that, me, Evan/brother, Mama, Dada, Papa, Layne, shower, side (outside and to tell me which side he wants to nurse on), spider, butterfly, deer, bubble, bus, bye-bye, hi/high, Barney, swing, I see, copter (helicopter), bed, fish, cookie, cracker, cot (apricot), O's (Cheerios), cereal, more, pee, two, medicine, that, shoes, socks, girl, t.v., hot.
I'm sure there are plenty more, but that's what I could think of off the top of my head.
We struggle to get him to eat protein in the form of chicken, turkey, ham, beef unless it's chicken nuggets or spaghetti. I think he might be a vegetarian.
He still loves milk, cereal, break, fruit, and now...BROCCOLI!
He's a techie. Whether it's the iPad, iPod, my phone or Paul's, he can figure it out.
And he likes to throw things or himself on the ground when he's angry.
As far as sleeping goes, he still nurses to almost asleep most nights, but wakes 2-3 times a night to nurse. He could care less if Paul goes in to settle him down. Most of the time it turns into screams and crying unless I go in.
He loves to play outside with water and dirt with his brother. Swings are still a big hit. So is playing chase. I'm amazed at what he can do and how much sooner he is able to do it that what I remember E could do at the same age. If he finds a ball to play with, he's happy.
G LOVES letters and numbers. He is starting to identify some letters (O and sometimes H, but he calls it I) and the number 2. He's always been interested in letters and now will call them any letter he can think of.
I love that he is eager to learn and try new things. He's not afraid to get dirty. Yet at the same time, he is so cuddly and will come and give you a hug when you least expect it.
We love you little man!

Spring Break 2013
I'm usually bummed at the end of Spring Break when I have to return to work. This year however, I feel it was harder than usual. My week with the boys was fabulous. I was able to really see how much they have grown and changed since my winter break. They are so fun to be with and they're starting to really interact with each other, even if it's not always welcomed by the other.
There was one day in particular where I was feeling quite sick, but it cleared after about 24 hours. Paul was kind enough to come home early and let me sleep, which I know is not easy for him to do during his busiest time of year. I must attribute my recovery to the fact that I was able to sleep almost 13 straight hours. Thank you again, hubby!
Our time together consisted of going to the zoo twice, once with E's classmates and the second time with my friends and their kids). E also started t-ball clinics and it's pretty fun to watch, even though he's "done" about 25 minutes into a 45 minute class.

Belated February Update
Considering that the majority of the month of February passed without any type of blog update, I guess I should do it now since we're already in March.
This past month went by rather quickly, but had it's moments that felt as if they'd never end. It seemed to be the month of illness in our house. G had a trip to urgent care and was diagnosed with strep. Three days later, he wasn't feeling much better. He had a well visit scheduled and when we took him, the doctor thought that he might have gotten the flu as well. The next day, his fever spiked to 104.6, so I took him back in to the doctor. They tested him for the flu and it came back positive. Since he had already had it for a while, they couldn't give him Tamiflu because it wouldn't do much good. They did, however, give him two injections of antibiotic to rid him of his ear infection. At least that's what the doctor thought he had now, but couldn't be sure since G would not let him look in his ears. This visit included a lot of crying, both from G and me. We had to hold him down a lot to allow the doctor to look at him. He's doing much better now though!
E has been out of school the past week because he had been running a fever as well. His nose had been dripping quite a bit and his lips are pretty chapped. Poor guy. On a positive note, E was able to celebrate his birthday at school early because of his summer birthday. He came home with some cards his classmates made him and a crown too. We signed E up for a t-ball clinic that should last about 8 weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing him run the bases with that oversized helmet on!
