My first visit with Nora

I went to visit my dear friend, Kerri, and her family today. I brought along two other friends, Liza and Becky. Nora was born 2 weeks ago and this is our first visit with her. She's a beautiful little girl and she is lucky to be born into a wonderful family!

Every year the Dave Matthews Band comes to town right around my birthday. Every year my best friend, Valerie, takes me to the Dave concert. This year we got lucky. Our seats were at about the 10th row and we had a blast!! Here are some photos!

Birthday Bash

Friday night I went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen with friends and family. Afterwards I met some more friends at San Felipe. I had a wonderful time and was able to see some friends that I don't see all that often. Thanks for a great birthday everyone!!

(I have no idea what's going on here...I don't think they do either!)

Tiffany's shower

Ok, so on Sunday my friend, Tiffany, had her bridal shower. We played the common game of "make a dress out of toilet paper and tissue." Luckily for me, I was in a group with all colorguard people, so we WON!!

My 27th birthday!

I have to say that I had the most amazing birthday. In the morning, Paul surprised me with a chocolate donut for breakfast! At work, my team gave me a Starbucks gift card and a rose plant. The kids were actually pretty good too! That night, Paul and I went to dinner at Cheuvront's in Phoenix for wine and cheese. We came home and he set up my cake and presents. Paul has to be the best listener and husband ever! He got me so many things that I wanted including a massage and a Ped Egg. The cake from the bakery our wedding cake was from and Paul got the Bailey's filling, since he always hears me say how sad I was that I didn't get to taste it at the wedding. He's amazing! Best birthday yet!!

Baby Nora has arrived!!!

Congratulations to Mike, Kerri, and big brother Jacob on the arrival of their new family member, Nora Elizabeth Sydell!

She was born on August 9, exactly two weeks early. Mom pushed for a lengthy 23 minutes until Nora was delivered at 11:30 am weighing 7 lbs, 10 oz.
