Trains, Trains Everywhere!

As part of E's birthday gift from his Aunt Meghan, we received all of his cousins trains and tracks. We've been having fun all morning!

Summer is here!

I'm on my fourth day home with the kids and we've been having a ball. My folks are heading to Mexico next week for a month and they are squeezing in as much time as they can with the boys.

I've said this before, but it's always so fun to see how much they've grown between my breaks from work, but it also makes me realize what I miss each day.

Doing Something Right

Sometimes as a parent, you're blinded by the tantrums, dishes, laundry, messy house, and poopy diapers that it takes something small to realize that you must be doing something right.

I had a few of those moments today with E.

Today while at my parents house, I witnessed E behave in a way that I don't often see.

His teachers have always commented this year on how well mannered and kind to his friends he is. With his cousins, he's usually pretty rambunctious and hard to get his attention.

Today, he was able to meet a new friend and he was SO, SO amazingly kind and generous.

He asked me for markers and paper so that she could write with him and he asked her which colors she wanted to use.

He asked her if she wanted a hot dog to eat and then went and told my mom who was making him one already. E then went back and asked her if she wanted hers cut up or whole, and returned to my mom to let her know the response.

Once they had their food, he offered her a napkin and milk.

He asked her if she wanted to go swimming or if she wanted a muffin.

E was so kind and thoughtful - my cousin was impressed and in awe of his sweet demeanor.

It was those moments that made me say, "We must be doing something right!"
