As part of E's birthday gift from his Aunt Meghan, we received all of his cousins trains and tracks. We've been having fun all morning!

Summer is here!
I'm on my fourth day home with the kids and we've been having a ball. My folks are heading to Mexico next week for a month and they are squeezing in as much time as they can with the boys.
I've said this before, but it's always so fun to see how much they've grown between my breaks from work, but it also makes me realize what I miss each day.

Doing Something Right
Sometimes as a parent, you're blinded by the tantrums, dishes, laundry, messy house, and poopy diapers that it takes something small to realize that you must be doing something right.
I had a few of those moments today with E.
Today while at my parents house, I witnessed E behave in a way that I don't often see.
His teachers have always commented this year on how well mannered and kind to his friends he is. With his cousins, he's usually pretty rambunctious and hard to get his attention.
Today, he was able to meet a new friend and he was SO, SO amazingly kind and generous.
He asked me for markers and paper so that she could write with him and he asked her which colors she wanted to use.
He asked her if she wanted a hot dog to eat and then went and told my mom who was making him one already. E then went back and asked her if she wanted hers cut up or whole, and returned to my mom to let her know the response.
Once they had their food, he offered her a napkin and milk.
He asked her if she wanted to go swimming or if she wanted a muffin.
E was so kind and thoughtful - my cousin was impressed and in awe of his sweet demeanor.
It was those moments that made me say, "We must be doing something right!"

April has come and gone
And I've been neglecting this blog yet again!
My Jidda re growing and I've done a poor job of maintaining this blog. Instead, be been giving my "spare time" to my Etsy shop and filling orders. It's not such a bad thing, but I realized the other day that I've taken such few photos of the kids.
Paul and I are planning a weekend getaway to Vegas without kids for some time in May or June. He received a two night stay voucher for Caesar's Palace from a conference he went to for work. I'm looking forward to sleeping in and some much needs alone time with my hubby.
E is almost done with his first ear or preschool. We've been able to spend a few nights lately with just him for his Aunt's concert and to watch his cousins in a play. It's nice to be able to spend some time with just him because G still needs me so much (or my milk really).
G is talking more than ever and trying to climb on everything. He can pull himself up to turn on the

Fun with My Boys
Paul has been out of town since Thursday evening on a cabin trip with several of his friends. I took the day off yesterday too since my parents were also going out of town.
To be honest, I was a little nervous to spend these three days with them by myself. I know it sounds odd, but truthfully, the thought of putting them to bed at night by myself was what I was most concerned about doing.
I've been pretty spoiled. Paul is usually home by the time the kids go to bed, so I've always had someone around, at least to rescue me at some point in the evening if there is an issue with bedtime.
So far we've done ok. I figured out that I can keep E occupied in his room playing Legos quietly and yes, even playing on the iPad. It lets me get to nurse G and have him fall asleep. Then I can focus on getting E to sleep too.
We've also had fun just hanging out. Yesterday we went to the train park. Today we had E's tball and my sister was kind enough to join us so that G could play with her while I was with E.
We also had an impromptu photo shoot!
